Set up and protect an area to spray paint either outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

Carefully prepare the lanterns and skulls, ensuring the surface is clean, dry, and dull.
Step 3
Take lanterns apart, carefully separating the base and the lid. Lay the lid of the lantern in front of the base.
Step 4
After reading the can label for proper application and safety instructions, spray light coats of Krylon® Fusion All-In-One® Gloss Smoke Grey onto the base and lid of the lanterns. Set aside to dry.
Step 5
Note: Shake can until ball inside begins to rattle, then shake for an additional two minutes. Hold can 8”-10” from surface, spray in sweeping motion, side-to-side with slight overlap.
Step 6
Dries to touch in 20 minutes or less. Dries to handle in 1 hour. Recoat within 6 hours or after 24 hours.
Step 7
Tape off the skulls, leaving the eyes exposed.
Step 8
In sweeping motions, begin to spray light coats onto the skulls with Krylon® Neon Orange.
Step 9
Note: Shake can until ball inside begins to rattle, then shake for an additional two minutes. Hold can 10”-12” from surface, spray in sweeping motion, side-to-side with slight overlap.
Step 10
After the lanterns and skulls are completely dry, remove the tape from skulls, and place one skull inside of each lantern. Place the tops back onto the lantern.
Step 11: Halloween Signs
Use the pallet wood to help space and align the perpendicular braces to attach the pallet wood together.
Step 12
Using Miter Saw, cut braces to the desired length.
Step 13
Using Impact Driver, and Fasteners, attach braces to the pallet wood.
Step 14
Place stencils in desired patterns and spray them onto the wood using Krylon® Fusion All-In-One® in Gloss Smoke Gray and Gloss Popsicle Orange. Allow time for paint to dry completely.
Step 15
Dries to touch in 20 minutes or ready to handle in 1 hour.
