Time to do something different – make a boring mirror glow and make it your own with Glowz!
SKILL LEVEL:
Intermediate
PROJECT TIME:
2 Hours
Step 1
Disassemble mirror and spray frame with Krylon Fusion Soapstone. Two coats and allow to dry.
Step 2
Spray glass mirror with Krylon Fusion Black Stainless. Two coats and allow to dry fully before adhering your stencil. It’s important that this step needs to be fully cured before moving on.
Step 3
Adhere stencil and tape off the rest of the black and spray with Fusion Matte White. 1-2 coats should fully cover it. Allow to dry.
Tip: Anything that is being sprayed with Glowz should have a solid basecoat of white to allow more color to come through and it helps product glow more brightly.
Step 4
Apply Krylon Glowz White over white stencil. Allow to dry in between coats. The more coats of Glowz the more it will glow in the dark, but do not over-do this step or the stencil will not peel away properly. 2-3 light coats are best.
Step 5
Spray butterflies (both sides) with Fusion Matte White and allow to dry. Then apply Glowz Green on top of base coat. Again, 2-3 light coats are best.
Step 6
Reattach frame and arrange butterflies around edges with glue gun or glue dots. Hang and enjoy!
